  • The older children spent most of the morning climbing trees.
  • This little man had an idea, and after some deep contemplation he carried it out. There was a respectful silence as he took on the challenge he had set for himself, followed by much applause.

  • In the summer months we usually have the hose out by the end of the morning. Working as a team is one of the skills children practice at Gumboot Day.
  • Our resident water boy was in his element once we got the hose out. Spare clothes are a must for Gumboot Day.

This was our first ever Gumboot Day in the school holidays. It was such a treat to welcome back some of our 5 year olds. We also had some older siblings and friends. I’m picking there would have been some very tired children after such a busy morning. See you next month. :-) Bronnie
