At our Play Group in Te Awamutu, we made pikelets for morning tea. Children love to help in the kitchen. Stirring the mixture, and licking the spoon at the end, are all part of the attraction.
This was our first ever Gumboot Day in the school holidays. It was such a treat to welcome back some of our 5 year olds. We also had some older siblings and friends. I’m picking there would have been some very tired children after such a busy morning. See you next month. Bronnie
